Shallowford Road, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30338 Details: We'll have coffee and breakfast treats ready! Volunteers always have a fun time with this project. Members and friends get together to prepare books for our local Title 1 elementary schools. To help kids who are just learning English, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody prepares fun to read books for donation. We insert translation bookmarks and add book plates to each (so parents know it was a gift). We welcome as many volunteers as possible! Please let Jack Sparks know if you can help. Rotary Youth Exchange scholarship program's Future Outbound Candidates and their families will attend this special dinner event to learn what country and what language has been assigned to each student as they prepare to become a Rotary Youth Exchange student ambassador for District 6900 in the 2023 - 2024 Rotary year. This insanely popular event will provide dinner to every single fire station and police precinct in the City of Atlanta. We will pull it off in conjunction with Livable Buckhead, Buckhead Coalition and some additional sponsors yet to be nailed down. We need volunteers to help with picking up food, setting up the distribution and delivering the dinners to the stations. We need a lot of hands for this and if you are delivering, you need a car with a little bit of space! Pick up/Set up will start at 8am, deliveries will begin at 11:00am and should be wrapped up no later than about 2pm. Please join us! |
