The Rotary Club of Emory-Clifton recently funded a classroom project at Bataraza National High School, Bataraza, Palawan, Philippines. The club provided eight long tables and 60 chairs to 7 – 9th graders in the school's Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health (MAPEH) programs Each year, this classroom will be used by 300 students.
Volunteers went to Bataraza High School and delivered furniture extended this classroom
project and included health education as well. Along with Dr. David dela
Cruz, volunteers spoke to the student body and discussed proper oral hygiene
and care. It was a success and well received - students, faculty and
administration were very appreciative of both the classroom project and the
mass oral care demonstration provided to their student body. Their head
principal and MAPEH teachers are hoping for a continued collaboration with our
group.
