East Cobb President Elect Receives Cobb County Chamber of Commerce Award

Tammy Palmgren, President-Elect of the East Cobb Rotary Club and Director of Medicare Sales for Kaiser Permanente Georgia Region, received the 2019 Len Gilbert Award from the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce. The award is presented to an outstanding board member who, through his or her leadership, commitment and dedication, achieved new heights for a Chamber program or event.

Tammy was honored for her leadership of the Chamber’s brand identity project, 'Rebrand.' She led the project and revealed the Chamber’s new visual and verbal identity system in December 2019. The key message for the Chamber’s new logo and brand is, “A Seat at the Table.” Over the coming days and months, the Chamber will execute the new brand across all major communication touchpoints, from emails and business cards to the website and social media platforms.

"I was honored to have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team that included both Chamber staff and volunteers on this 'Rebrand' project," says Tammy. "We were able to deliver a remarkable product that truly celebrates the people that make Cobb County one of the best places to live, work and play."

Tammy currently sits on the Chamber's board of directors as Vice Chair, Marketing and Communications. She received the Len Gilbert award along with Andrew Dill of Lockheed Martin at the Chamber’s annual Dinner Celebration on January 25.

As one of the most influential business advocacy organizations in Georgia and one of the top three chambers in the nation, the Cobb Chamber (www.cobbchamber.org) is dedicated to bringing the community and its leaders together to create jobs and strengthen the economy and quality of life so businesses and the community can achieve more. KP is well represented in Cobb County with three medical office buildings (TownPark, Cumberland, and West Cobb), and with Tammy's leadership.
