Ivy welcomed all and speaker Mike lead the prayer and pledge Cindy informed the club about Tanya Flynn, teacher at South Paulding High. Emelia and Cindy will work more to partner with her. Goal is to have Interact Club in all high schools. Ivy thanked her team, Jason K’s church and Madge’s team for helping with the Backpack program. Emelia spoke about CARELINK Ball/Gala. Madge motioned and Jason K. seconded that Rotary purchase a table for $600 and all voted yes. Speaker: Ivy introduced Sandy Gamble with the Chamber of Commerce. She spoke about the programs with the Chamber. See below: o Leadership Paulding, applications are still being accepted until July 30th. They meet once a month on Thursdays from 8 to 5 o Government of Affairs meets on the 4th Monday of the month. Elected Officials are usually present. o Monthly Luncheon o Quarterly Economic Breakfast o Events: Dallas Parade, Red, White and Boom o Empowering Women – Conference August 17th o 2nd Annual Dine-n-Unwind in the Vines on September 9th o Hearts for Heroes – November 13th o Small Business Alliance Jason asked for information to sponsor an event and also speak with Empowering women.
