1) Who is Paul Harris, and why is the Club taking a collection for him? Paul Harris is the founder of Rotary. The $25/quarterly contribution to Paul Harris goes to Rotary International, where they use these funds for global projects all over the world that focus on Education, Water Treatment, Polio vaccines, Environment, Peace
2) How often are the various Dues charged? Every quarter at the 1st of the quarter. The invoice is due in 30 days. A new invoice for next quarter will go out July 1st.
3) Are meals charged if members do not attend meetings? Yes, meals are charged if you attend or not. The club guarantees Copelands so many members will attend every week, so the club has to pay for that amount. The meal assessment is 12 meals a quarter at $32 per meal. This includes the meal, tip, room rental, and IT equipment to run the meeting.
4) What is the Social Assessment fee, and how often is this fee charged? The social fee is every quarter and helps the club off-set some of the cost for the social events we provide to the members. Exp.: Tonight's Induction dinner is free to members, but the restaurant is charging us $80 per plate, we have a Christmas Party that is professionally catered and drinks provided, our annual summer picnic, etc.
5) If I decide not to continue with the Club at this point, am I responsible for the Initiation fee? No, I can remove that from the invoice.
