Rotary Int'l Medals of Honor for Sandy Springs First Responders - nominations needed from the public in May
Have you been rescued or helped by a Sandy Springs First Responder in the last 18 months?
In your opinion did that person go beyond the norm in helping you with your situation?
If yes please help us give them the recognition they deserve. Nominate them for this award.
Rotary International’s motto is “Service Above Self”. Our City’s First Responders (Police Officer and Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic) perform “Service Above Self” within their profession each day. They ask for a fair wage and the opportunity to serve, yet their level of service has the potential to far exceed normal expectations of “Service Above Self.”
We want to honor those community heroes who share our creed of “Service Above Self” within their professions. We are asking the public thru May 2021 to nominate active members of the Sandy Springs Police Department and Fire Department including EMTs/Paramedics who in the nominee’s opinion have gone beyond the call of duty in providing extraordinary service assisting our citizens and business owners, protecting property, or who have contributed significantly to the public safety profession over the last year and a half during COVID, civil unrest and other emergency situations.
Based on public input the Club will select the Honorees who will be recognized at a noon luncheon meeting in June or July at the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs.
