Meet Randall Cowart, Director of Development at Mckenna Farms. Come learn more about their purpose and mission. Meet our very own Monique Sparks, Volunteer Director at Mckenna Farms. McKenna Farms Therapy Services is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides therapy services to boys and girls ages birth-21 with special needs from throughout Northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta. The children we serve have a variety of diagnoses and delays in development including, but not limited to: Autism, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Developmental Delay, genetic/chromosomal disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Scoliosis, fine motor delay, oral/motor feeding disorders, learning and language disabilities, auditory processing, and coordination disorders.
McKenna Farms began in 2001 with 10 children, one physical therapist assistant, 5 volunteers and 2 horses. Today, it has grown to 25 therapists who serve over 500 children per week! We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as therapeutic riding. These therapy services are provided in various settings including clinical, aquatic, and through the utilization of equine movement in hippotherapy. Our therapists work as a team through comprehensive interdisciplinary services to help children with special needs achieve their full potential.
The Farm is situated on 30 acres in Paulding County and includes a newly-renovated therapy clinic and offices in a civil war-era farmhouse. We also have 8 therapy cottages, outdoor and indoor riding arenas, a sensory trail, wooded adventure trail, and a barn that houses 15 horses and 2 mini horses. No other therapeutic center in the region offers such comprehensive services in one location. This setting is not only convenient for families, but it also allows us to provide the highest level of care as therapists can collaborate for the best interest of the children in a comfortable setting that truly feels like home.

Start time will be 8:00 am each day and will wrap up around 5 pm on Saturday. Sundays end time will depend on the various artists - some will finish earlier than others. |

Then, stay to Walk and Roll, listen Jud Shumway from the Sawgrass Blues Band, learn how our donations will be used and to hear inspiring words from the Atlanta Chapter Director of FSHD, Jack Gerblick.

1p Buckhead: LifeLine Pawsitivity Adoption EventRegister Rotarians unite for good with LifeLine to sponsor a pet adoption event with support from Chastain Park Conservancy. Come join your fellow Rotarians for a pawsitivity fun time with the LifeLine animals and help them find their forever homes. The event is from 1 - 3 pm. Stay for the Bark-A-Cue and continue the fun. Steve Ivory has been a dedicated Rotarian since 2001 when he joined the Rotary Club
of Peachtree City, sponsored by then-President Donna Turner. From the start, Steve
actively embraced leadership roles, including serving as Club Treasurer, Club Vice
President, GRSP Host Family, and participating in various committees and service
projects. In 2020–2021, Steve led the club as President, steering it through a
challenging pandemic year by innovating meeting formats and achieving a 254% growth
in Foundation giving. His leadership then continued as an Assistant Governor under
District Governors George Granade and Andre Marria.
Professional Achievements and Education:
Steve has an exemplary career combining military and corporate leadership. A graduate
of the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Physical Sciences (1987), he
served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Gulf War veteran,
and ultimately retired as a Major in the Marine Corps Reserve. He earned his MBA from
Georgia State University (1998) before transitioning into a distinguished corporate
career, recently retiring as Director of Quality at Eaton.
Steve’s expertise spans quality assurance, engineering leadership, and structured
problem-solving. He has been recognized as a mentor, community advocate, and
recipient of prestigious awards, including the Stover Community Service Award (2021) –
one of the highest recognitions across Eaton’s 95,000 employees. | 7 | 8 6:30p North Cobb: Volunteer: Women's Extension Dinner Volunteers needed to bring sides for 30 people, serve dinner, and cleanup. The Extension is a faith based, 12 step, recovery program for both men and women. The residential program has Marietta facilities on Church St. Extension for the men and Holiday St. for women. North Cobb Rotary has provided dinner on a monthly basis for going on 15 years. It is a chance to get to know your fellow members in service as well as provide some encouragement for the men and women in recovery. Residents are required to gain employment during their residence and they receive counseling, job preparation and life skills in addition to the recovery process. Come out and support our Pawsitivity Partnership with LifeLine's Healthy Pet event. There will be 1,500+ pets and their people in attendance. This event provides the much needed vaccinations for dogs and cats as well as chipping and vouchers for spaying and neutering. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to engage with the animals as you help direct people, check them in, and assist with paperwork. Come for an hour or stay for the entire time. Families and children of all ages are welcome to attend. |

to those in need. We will meet at OpenHand for an orientation and optional tour and then each
carload will hit the road to help our furry friends and their people. A tour of Open Hand's new facility will be offered to all volunteers who are interested. That tour is also available to all Buckhead Rotarians and their guests who register as "Tour Only." Children and families are welcome. Coffee and Good Measure breads will be available for everyone and for purchase (100% of sales go to funding OpenHand meals)!
