Meet Randall Cowart, Director of Development at Mckenna Farms. Come learn more about their purpose and mission. Meet our very own Monique Sparks, Volunteer Director at Mckenna Farms. McKenna Farms Therapy Services is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides therapy services to boys and girls ages birth-21 with special needs from throughout Northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta. The children we serve have a variety of diagnoses and delays in development including, but not limited to: Autism, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Developmental Delay, genetic/chromosomal disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Scoliosis, fine motor delay, oral/motor feeding disorders, learning and language disabilities, auditory processing, and coordination disorders.
McKenna Farms began in 2001 with 10 children, one physical therapist assistant, 5 volunteers and 2 horses. Today, it has grown to 25 therapists who serve over 500 children per week! We offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as therapeutic riding. These therapy services are provided in various settings including clinical, aquatic, and through the utilization of equine movement in hippotherapy. Our therapists work as a team through comprehensive interdisciplinary services to help children with special needs achieve their full potential.
The Farm is situated on 30 acres in Paulding County and includes a newly-renovated therapy clinic and offices in a civil war-era farmhouse. We also have 8 therapy cottages, outdoor and indoor riding arenas, a sensory trail, wooded adventure trail, and a barn that houses 15 horses and 2 mini horses. No other therapeutic center in the region offers such comprehensive services in one location. This setting is not only convenient for families, but it also allows us to provide the highest level of care as therapists can collaborate for the best interest of the children in a comfortable setting that truly feels like home.

His tenure saw a remarkable 254% increase in Foundation giving and innovative approaches to service. Steve’s professional journey spans military and corporate leadership. A U.S. Naval Academy graduate and retired U.S. Marine Corps Major, he later earned an MBA from Georgia State and retired as Director of Quality at Eaton Corporation. His accolades include the Stover Community Service Award and the Sheffield Presidential Leadership Award. An ardent champion of youth programs and community service, Steve has hosted five GRSP students and actively supports veterans, healthcare, and education initiatives. He’s also a mentor, speaker, and advocate for ethical leadership.

Steve Ivory has been a dedicated Rotarian since 2001 when he joined the Rotary Club
of Peachtree City, sponsored by then-President Donna Turner. From the start, Steve
actively embraced leadership roles, including serving as Club Treasurer, Club Vice
President, GRSP Host Family, and participating in various committees and service
projects. In 2020–2021, Steve led the club as President, steering it through a
challenging pandemic year by innovating meeting formats and achieving a 254% growth
in Foundation giving. His leadership then continued as an Assistant Governor under
District Governors George Granade and Andre Marria.
Professional Achievements and Education:
Steve has an exemplary career combining military and corporate leadership. A graduate
of the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Physical Sciences (1987), he
served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Gulf War veteran,
and ultimately retired as a Major in the Marine Corps Reserve. He earned his MBA from
Georgia State University (1998) before transitioning into a distinguished corporate
career, recently retiring as Director of Quality at Eaton.
Steve’s expertise spans quality assurance, engineering leadership, and structured
problem-solving. He has been recognized as a mentor, community advocate, and
recipient of prestigious awards, including the Stover Community Service Award (2021) –
one of the highest recognitions across Eaton’s 95,000 employees. The Extension is a faith based, 12 step, recovery program for both men and women. The residential program has Marietta facilities on Church St. Extension for the men and Holiday St. for women. North Cobb Rotary has provided dinner on a monthly basis for going on 15 years. It is a chance to get to know your fellow members in service as well as provide some encouragement for the men and women in recovery. Residents are required to gain employment during their residence and they receive counseling, job preparation and life skills in addition to the recovery process. Come out and support our Pawsitivity Partnership with LifeLine's Healthy Pet event. There will be 1,500+ pets and their people in attendance. This event provides the much needed vaccinations for dogs and cats as well as chipping and vouchers for spaying and neutering. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to engage with the animals as you help direct people, check them in, and assist with paperwork. Come for an hour or stay for the entire time. us share holiday cheer with the students at the Boyse L. Ansley School. 9 Dunwoody: USO - Volunteer Opportunity Thursday October 30, 2025 will be Rotary Club of Dunwoody USO Volunteer Day. We will serve our service personnel and family members an “All American” lunch of hot dogs with all the condiments, potato chips, fresh fruit, snack bars, home baked cookies, bottled water AND a portion of baked Ziti & Mom’s meatball. Volunteers: We would like to have eight volunteers for the day from 9 AM to 3 PM. Duties vary from greeter, cookie packer, hot dog grill mate, server, bag monitor, and "all around volunteer" to handle anything else that needs to be done to serve our military service personnel. Let Charlie Augello know if you can join us. Home baked cookies: Only the best for our military personnel. We ask the bakers to bake about 60 of their favorite hardy cookies. They can be delivered in bulk to the E.48th Street Market on 10/27, 28 and 29 before 6PM. We will repack them on the day of service. Please note hardy cookies are best since we recommend that volunteers take MARTA. Let Charlie know if you plan to bake. Transportation: It is strongly recommended that volunteers take MARTA to the airport instead of driving due to the continued limited parking because of construction at the airport. Other Ways You Can Help: Members who are unable to volunteer can participate by donating bottled water (small bottles) and snack bars such as Nature Valley available at Costco at reasonable prices. Items can be dropped off at the E.48th Street Market on 10/15 and 16 before 6PM. Join the fun while serving the clients and staff at this amazing organization. We will serve pizza and drinks, and volunteers are also needed to help at several booths.
Since Devereux is our Peace Pole creator-partner, volunteers are encouraged to PEACE OUT in COSTUME! Let's carry our peace message in a fun and colorful way!
